Acer tataricum ‘GarAnn’

Small tree or large shrub, similar to Acer ginnala in size and features. Dense habit, larger leaves with small lobes. Improved selection of species and the samaras turn scarlet-red in midsummer providing an interesting contrast against the green background of leaves. Yellow-orange fall foliage color and a more uniform growth habit than species. Excellent small tree for planting beneath utility wires and more tolerant of alkaline soils than Amur maple.
