Magnolia kobus var. stellata ‘Royal Star’

A hardy Magnolia shrub with upright, dense branching. In the spring, rosey pink buds bloom into characteristic star shaped white flowers that are large and fragrant. Flowers are followed by deep green foliage that changes to bronze in the fall. For use in only the most temperate regions of Montana with protection. Prefers acidic, moist, well-drained soil.
