Ribes aureum

Ribes aureum

Hardy native shrub with fragrant yellow flowers in spring and black berries in summer. Light green to pale yellow foliage turns scarlet in the fall. Plant prefers evenly moist, well draining soil- but will tolerate drought, seasonal flooding, or poor clay soils just the same. Also a great choice for erosion control on steep slopes or in recently disturbed areas.
